LONGITUDINAL TRACKS PROGRAMS
Our Signature Lines for Medical Education
By Edward Barnes, MD, FACP
The Longitudinal Tracks at the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific are extracurricular programs composed of integrated blocks of
learning organized around a specific theme. The track curriculum includes workshop-based didactics with an experiential component. This allows
students to not only learn by listening, reading, or seeing, but by doing. Each track program provides an active learning environment immersing
students into an escalating curriculum, community service, leadership, early experiential immersion, and a clinical/experiential rotation into the
community and clinical environment.
