MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
The Annual Report for 2017-18 offers a concise summary of
the financial performance of Western University of Health
Sciences – a roundup, if you will, of our assets, expenditures,
and revenues.
The University remains on an admirably solid fiscal footing,
as our external auditors and other consultants advise. This is
thanks to sound planning, financial vigilance by our
colleges and departments, and judicious deployment of all
our resources – all newly augmented by Strategic
Performance Group efforts, notably Six Sigma training for
dozens of WesternU Lean Champions as part of our
Achieving Aspirations Strategic Plan.
I am pleased to share with you the good financial news the
Annual Report offers, as well as the Honor Roll of University donors who continue to appreciate and
support the “WesternU Way” of excellence in education, innovation in ideas, and scientific humanism in
health care.
