YOUR IRA CAN
BUILD THEIR FUTURE
Make a Tax-Free Gift from your IRA to
Western University of Health Sciences
The Charitable IRA Rollover is now permanent.
If you are 70½ years old or older, you can take advantage of a simple way to benefit Western University of Health Sciences
and receive tax benefits in return. You can give up to $100,000 from your IRA directly to a qualified charity such as ours
without having to pay income taxes on the money.
Why Consider This Gift?
• Your gift will be put to use today, allowing you to see the difference your donation is making.
• You pay no income taxes on the gift. The transfer generates neither taxable income nor a tax deduction, so you benefit
even if you do not itemize your deductions.
• Retirement assets in 401(k), 403(b), SEP, or SIMPLE plans do not qualify, but may be rolled over into a new or existing
IRA and then transferred to Western University of Health Sciences.
• Distributions must be made directly to WesternU by your IRA plan administrator.
Distributions may not be used to fund life income gifts such as charitable remainder trusts and charitable gift annuities.
