Students spend a great deal of time in the Health
Education Center (HEC) study rooms studying and
attending meetings and participating in small groups.
The blank walls were once uninviting, especially with
the lack of windows.
Recently installed art represents the creativity
of WesternU students. The majority of the artwork
on display was taken by WesternU students,
primarily from the College of Osteopathic Medicine
of the Pacific DO classes of 2020 and 2021, but
other colleges such as podiatry and veterinary
medicine are also represented. In addition to COMP
students, Richard Stephens, DO '20 class president,
was able to acquire artwork from his favorite artist --
his mother, Cynthia Stephens.
“I feel honored to bring satisfaction to my mom and
allow her artwork to be hung in the study rooms for
future students to enjoy. She is extremely humble
about her work, yet it’s amazing and should be
shared everywhere,” Richard Stephens said. Photograph by Cynthia Stephens
