Earlier this summer, on July 13th, 2015, Dr. Lyna Luo, Assistant
Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences at WesternU’s College of
Pharmacy, gave a recruitment presentation at her alma mater,
Zhejaing University in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China.
Dr. Luo spoke to 38 undergraduate students about the unique IPBP
and MSPS programs offered at WesternU, and about the
development of the PharmD program as well. Dr. Luo graduated
from Zhejiang University with her BS degree in pharmaceutical
sciences and an MS degree in medicinal chemistry, and joined
WesternU as an assistant professor in 2013. She says that she has
always wanted to return to her alma mater to share her experience
and to encourage pharmacy students in China to pursue new
opportunities in pharmacy. Dr. Luo says that although there is no
PharmD program in China currently, it is just a matter of time. This
