Improving patient care by optimizing the clinical training of student pharmacists

Introducing Patricia Carrillo, Rotations Director
Patricia Carrillo joined the College of Pharmacy in August 2015 as the Rotations Director for
APPE for the Office of Experiential Education. She oversees and monitors all administrative
responsibilities of the APPE program for the College of Pharmacy. She supports the educational
needs and clinical curriculum of the College by overseeing and scheduling pharmacy students for
their onsite clinical training. Patricia earned her Bachelors degree in Sociology at University of
California, Irvine and earned her Masters degree in Social Work at Washington University in St.
Louis. Patricia joins the College of Pharmacy with extensive experience in student programs in
higher education and a passion for student development.
“During these last six months I’ve had the opportunity to work with many
of you and have found an enormous amount of dedication to the field of
Pharmacy. I look forward to working with all of you in continuing to
positively shape future Pharmacists.”
