David Ha, PharmD
Pomona Valley Medical Center
“It was a pleasure to have Jae E and Praew at Pomona
Valley. I was very glad to see them inspired by pharmacy
practice here in the United States and hope that the
lessons they learned will be passed on to their colleagues
in Thailand. The knowledge that pharmacy practice in
this country is but one component in the larger global
community is humbling. It reveals there remains a great
deal of need and likewise, opportunity, both within and
outside of our borders.”

Rudolf Mireles, PharmD
Director WesternU Patient Care Center
Pharmacy
“First of all, I would like to thank Western University’s
School of Pharmacy for the opportunity to work with
these wonderful students from Thailand. It's refreshing
and exciting to share with the students what we are
doing here to advance our profession. Their enthusiasm,
thirst for knowledge, and compassion is energizing to
see. Our profession’s future looks bright throughout the
world with outstanding students, like these two, and
those we are developing here at WesternU.”

Arunsri Machandaeng (Jae E)
“My 6-week rotations in Pomona was amazing and
unforgettable. All of the students, colleagues and
preceptors were really nice. They all helped me with
everything I have struggled with. Before I came here, I
was just a girl who really wanted to have an experience
working overseas. But, once I worked in Pomona and
rotated to three different settings, I realized that I have
gained not just the working experiences or pharmacy
careers, but, also friendships and real world exploring
destinations. I could see myself on what and where my
future career is. So then I have to say that WesternU is
not just only my rotation sites, but my family. Thank
you so much. I love you all and I am going to miss
everyone.”

Nattapat Kittisarathamma (Praew)
“Having an opportunity to rotate at Western University
was my lifetime experience. The unique characteristic of
WesternU is the patient care center model of all settings.
Patients are a part of healthcare team and have the
responsibility to decide their own treatment plans This
inspired me to think what I can do more for my
patients.. Apart from professional experiences, I had also
enjoyed different cultures and people which broadened
my knowledge and vision. I would like to thank all
preceptors and staffs at WesternU for this wonderful
