MESSAGE FROM THE DEAN

Graduate College of

Biomedical Sciences

These are exciting times! Jobs related to health care are projected to
increase 10.8 percent, or by 15.6 million jobs, by 2022, and
occupations that require postsecondary education for entry are
expected to grow faster than those requiring a high school diploma.
Thus, if you are looking for a career in health care, then you will
need to learn new skills and knowledge to make you highly
competitive to find a fulfilling career.

The Graduate College of Biomedical Sciences (GCBS) at Western
University of Health Sciences is committed to providing you with
the skills and knowledge to give you the best opportunities to find a
job and to keep you moving up the job ladder over your lifetime.
The GCBS offers a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences, which
covers the majority of the health care field, ranging from nutrition
sciences to health care informatics, and intellectual property in
biomedical sciences to translational sciences.

In addition, the GCBS is planning a PhD Program in Translational
Michel Baudry, PhD Health Sciences, which will train graduate students in the skills and
knowledge to translate basic scientific discoveries into applications -
- from drug to device and diagnostic development.

As a college that strives to produce life-long learners through
education and scholarship, we invite you to explore our Master of
Science in Biomedical Sciences program, which trains highly skilled
biomedical researchers for entry into academia, industry or the
medical professions.
