Nicholas Bojorquez, Administrative Assistant,
Office of Advancement and Development
Nicholas Bojorquez joined the College of Pharmacy in May of 2019 as a temporary
administrative assistant, where he supported faculty as well as the College’s FROC
(Fellowship Resident Oversight Committee) Program. He has recently been hired on
permanently as the Administrative Assistant III for the Director of Professional
Development and Community Outreach, Renee Cook. His main focus will be
supporting the colleges’ continuing education programs, college events, as well as the
college publication, RxBound.
He received his Associates in Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences with an emphasis in
Natural Sciences. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science with
the goal of becoming a veterinarian in the future.
Yourie Kong, Administrative Assistant,
Office of Academic and Student Affairs
Yourie Kong joined the College of Pharmacy in August 2019 as an Administrative
Assistant II. She supports the needs of Curricular Affairs and the Curriculum
Committee. Yourie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Masters
of Arts in Teaching degree from Biola University. For the past three years, she has
taught as an elementary teacher. She is looking forward to being a part of WesternU
and to help students in an impactful way.
Benito Machado, Manager,
Early Assurance and Pathway Programs,
Office of Academic and Student Affairs
Benito “Ben” Machado joined the College of Pharmacy in September 2019 as the
Manager of Early Assurance and Pathway Programs. His responsibilities include
managing the college’s Early Assurance Program (EAP), facilitating outreach to
stimulate careers in the pharmacy field, and supporting pathway development
programs along with associated recruitment events. Ben received his Bachelor’s
degree in Psychology from Bethel University in McKenzie, Tennessee as a student
athlete. He comes from the Office of University Recruitment and Strategic
Enrollment Management as a University Recruiter for WesternU. Prior to WesternU
he came from the Inland Health Professions Coalition (IHPC), a non-profit
organization dedicated to creating work-based learning opportunities for students
interested in the health professions and San Bernardino Valley College as an adjunct
professor.
