On Loving Grief

By Sara Catherine Drake, Optometry student

How lucky we are to love
            So strongly that to lose

            Can be so painful
            • • •
            It is the loudest way
            The world reminds us

            We are alive

Even Beds of Roses Come With Thorns

        By Anusha Abbas, COMP student

        sometimes,
this life is not a walk
        in the garden
        sometimes,
        this pain cannot
        be shed as easily as
        the leaves
        during the falls

        of a human heart
        sometimes there is no
        words sweet enough to
        romanticize the hollowness
        in your chest.

        still I try,

        still I plant seeds,
        of hope and faith.
        still I wait,
in the darkness Human Oh Human
until His Light shines. creative zealous intellects
until flowers grow. be loving and kind
