WE CONNECT
Kaiser Apothecary Circle
In August 2019, Dr. Mario Jimenez and Ben Machado visited Kaiser
Permanente Baldwin Park Medical Center to meet the 2019 summer interns
within the Kaiser Apothecary Circle. These student interns dedicate their
summer to grow professionally and learn under the leadership of their
mentor(s). WesternU College of Pharmacy wishes them well in all their
future endeavors.
“It has been my pleasure to work with these amazing students and the
dedicated KP pharmacists who make the time to mentor them as they
prepare for pharmacy school and fulfilling careers. We’ve witnessed the
program grow from two students to ten, with a student now at nearly every
Southern California medical center. Over the last few years, we have seen
our students become pharmacists and pharmacy residents. It is exciting to
see them take their place providing care for patients in our community,” said

Back to School Night at Quakes
“Take me out to the ball game!” WesternU College of Pharmacy celebrated “Back to School Night” with faculty, staff, and student
pharmacists on Family Feast Night (FFN) at the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes stadium. FFN allows all guests to enjoy $1 hotdogs, drinks, and
ice cream sandwiches throughout the evening. The Quakes ended the game in a walk off homerun bringing a win for the home team.
