Adaptation is not only relevant within a Darwinistic context for humans, but also crucial for the honing of a well-
polished health care professional. Resilience and adaptation are vital in a health care setting, as the field is subject to
constant changes and innovation. In a sea of variability, the key to finding serenity in all the chaos is riding along
with the ebb and flow of the shifting waves. Paradoxically, this malleability eventually leads to innovation as the
mind works to reconfigure and progressively evolve. WesternU has been an institution of adaptation and innovation,
and its spirit resonates in all of its students, faculty, and alumni.
